Lovely writing about taking care of yourself!!! Sorry for the yuckies though! Pauses in the productivity usually always end up multiplying the good stuff that gets done later. I am couchsnuggled with hot chocolate and genealogy magazines! Us south Texans dont do cold well at all!

How is the weather there? Did you get ice? Snow?

Kyla Bayang's avatar

So far much rain and now solid ice.

Ugh. 🧊is horrible. My friend in Atlanta just lost power.

Ours is still holding thank goodness! One thing we do pretty well around here is hunker down and hibernate haha. Truly, the Houston area had an ice disaster a few years ago, and has really tried to put systems in place to not have a repeat as much as we can.

Lots of tea and snuggly blankets here too. We have both under the weather, and weather! It's -45C outside with the wind chill and we've all got a cold.

-45 C is insane!! I think our bodies are saying go to bed. There is no reason to get frostbite. They are saving us from ourselves!

Cold to the bone. Hope you feel warm soon and your head is less congested. What a winter!

It sounds like a day sipping tea and doing nothing in particular is a perfect day for you right now. Sometimes it is good to have a day like that, especially when feeling unwell. I hope you are feeling a lot better soon.

Thank you Jane! I can’t imagine you ever drinking tea made from a tea bag! But this def hit the spot.

Ha Ha! I can’t imagine me ever drink tea at all. Despite growing up in a tea drinking English family in England, I have never acquired a taste for tea. I do drink far too many cups of coffee!. My tea-drinking husband always has tea made from a tea bag! You would feel right at home here!

Omg. Is it safe for you to admit that publicly? 🤣 I drank a lot of tea when I lived in London. They brewed a giant pot and it was an all day pour.

My mum always made tea in a teapot complete with tea cosy to keep in warm of course
