Welcome to Musings of a Storyteller
Hello and so glad you are here!
If you find that Life is messy and crazy, you aren’t alone. It’s also wonderful and the only one we got. An unabashed champion of fairness and female strength, my goal is to find meaning––or a means to cope–– usually through mirth, a lot of irony, and a fresh perspective. (And since I am a Gemini with ADHD I struggled to pull together this description.)
Let me give you the grand tour of Musings of a Storyteller!
I focus on three main topics:
Life Deconstructed: I look at those head-shaking moments in life —be they frustrating, funny, or downright bizarre—and explore how to find meaning (and a little mirth) in the everyday chaos.
Voices From My Past: My newest obsession! I’m uncovering the untold stories of my ancestors, like labor organizer Leonora Kearney Barry, and reflecting on how their extraordinary choices still resonate today.
Brand Publishing: Tapping into my professional roots, I share practical advice for building your voice—whether you’re a company, a solopreneur, or just someone with a story to tell.
These topics might seem like a random grab bag, but at their heart, they’re all about storytelling. Whether it’s sharing a laugh, dusting off forgotten histories, or helping you craft your own narrative, I hope these stories connect with you in ways that matter.
2025 New Year’s Resolution
I spent over 25 years reading the navel gazing business stuff keep my day job. So this year is a catch up year. I promised myself I would read a book a week. I had no idea how much work this would be! And to keep myself honest, i’m sharing the title and author with you.
